Wood Roof​

To execute a scaled model with attention to joineries

This was a three day workshop in which we were to source the wood (beforehand), make drawings of the details and joineries (for our understanding) and then excuse the same to be able to create an understanding of materiality of the traditional houses that were documented as a measure drawing exercise in Shillong.

Cane Catapult​

To use the strength of the material to create a catapult action

The intent of this exercise was to explore the structural capabilities of the material we were presented with and create a catapult out of the same. Cane behaves well in tension, so were tried to create a device that could get coiled to a great extent and release the stored tension when it uncoils in a catapult action.

SECMOL Sun and Earth Workshop

Phyang, Leh

​

I participated in this workshop conducted by SECMOL and CRATerre in the beautiful eco-tourism village of Phyang. It was an all-rounded workshop that exposed us to earth building and its various realms, from materiality, structural science, history, sociology, climate and hands-on exercises. I loved every single minute of it!

Chip board furniture​

To make easy to mass-produce home furniture

Godrej Design Competition

We were presented with the material by Godrej with the aim to create an easy to mass-produce, simple piece of furniture. We made a kit of parts that would be easy to assemble when required, making use of the strength of the chip board grains in compression.
